We got this boom box for our 5-year-old a few weeks ago for Christmas, since she's been responsibly and carefully listening to her audio books on ours for a year. I put the first CD in myself, and it worked fine for an hour or so, but on the second use the CD function completely stopped and hasn't worked since -- it just gives an error message and doesn't even spin. What a disappointment for my little girl, and a frustration for me, who didn't save the receipt.
I bought one for each of my granddaughters, ages 5 & 6. They love playing their Hannah Montana CDs on it and dancing to the music. But my youngest granddaughter, age 2 1/2, can play it as well. It's very easy for children to use.
I bought this when my oldest daughter was born. She's now four years old. We've never had any problems with it. I love the good quality and ease of use, while my daughters love that it's pink.
Great for a Hello Kitty fan and great sound stereo but excellent compact disc sound and great for playing cassette tapes also. I brought because I wanted something to play music in my room and Representing Hello Kitty in Sanrio store.
Quite a pain and the whole reason I got this for my 5 year old was so that she could play music on her own. We book this Hello Kitty player last year for her birthday and loved it for about 6 months. I feel compelled to write this review since I am currently looking for a new replacement cd player for my daughter for Christmas. Have to tell you that she is very careful and was not the one who broke the lid. The cover won't stay closed.cheap plastic latch broke off. So, if we are desperate, we have to litterally tape the lid close and then it will play music. It is just made cheaply. Wish I had read these reviews before I purchased it.
